The beginning of the game depicts the clone commando's first moments on Kamino before going into his training and his meetup with his brothers in arms. Players join the fight against the Trade Federation as Delta Squad leader RC-1138, otherwise known as Boss. Even 16 years later on Nintendo Switch, this cult classic FPS delivers as one of the best Star Wars stories told past 1983. Therefore, it came as a shock when those who picked up Republic Commando received an excellent squad-based shooter that told a compelling story with interesting characters and engaging gameplay.

Star Wars: Republic Commando was originally released in 2005 for Xbox and Windows. Once again, this is still only a rumor and not officially confirmed, but could definitely be a good sign for future Star Wars games to come to Nintendo Switch, and hopefully will include not only older titles but newer Star Wars titles, as well. While this is definitely a good sign, it still is not officially confirmed by Aspyr Media but it would make sense considering there have been quite a few older Star Wars games released on the Nintendo Switch in the last few years, including Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Star Wars Episode One: Racer, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, and more.
